Well, the day arrived - loads of cakes, an array of plants and a few craft items, all neatly laid out. And then the best part, as friends and acquaintances, old and new, came along. The morning was really busy and I wouldn't have managed without the help of my friend Marlene. The afternoon was quieter but it gave me more time to actually talk to friends! All the effort I had put in preparing for this was more than worthwhile as the cash rolled in. I cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity. I have been able to send off a total of £417.70 to British Lung Foundation.
